The Sweet Lillies take the stage live at The Virgil on May 16th for a very special night of music.

The Sweet Lillies’ music is, first and foremost, heartfelt and collaborative.  Those defining traits are given life by the quartet of musicians who make up the Lillies. Together they have combined their individual strengths to deliver powerful narratives of life in song.  With their lineup of guitar, viola, upright bass, drums and ethereal vocal harmonies that float like a dream, the Sweet Lillies’ music has a hard hitting original flavor with a forward-looking eye.  They have incorporated all of their cumulative life-experiences into their music, song-writing, and artistry, crafting an uncommonly-beautiful style they have christened “String-Americana” – a nod to the band’s all encompassing musical tastes and willingness to experiment with genres ranging from folk and rock all the way to hip-hop. 

This night of music kicks off a two night special of a live album recording at The Virgil with Liam Kyle Cahill, a Nevada based songwriter (and geologist) that has traveled the world over and written about his experiences. He will be joined by Andrew David Weber, a prolific songwriter out of Wisconsin and also a founding member of their joint band “Part Time Problems”, as well as local restaurateur turned songwriter Kasey Christensen. Local recording engineer Tim Chatwood will be recording the show thanks to a generous grant provided by the Nevada Arts Council.

Thursday May 16th will feature a headline performance by The Sweet Lillies, an Americana/bluegrass trio from Colorado. Liam Kyle Cahill will be mid-support, with Andrew David Weber opening the show.

Friday May 17th will feature Liam Kyle Cahill as the headliner, with support from Matt Bushman, Kasey Christensen, and Andrew David Weber.

Each show is $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the show, but you can also plan to attend both events for only $30. We suggest getting your tickets early as this might sell out!
